“….created in the image of an Artist….”
He has supplied the basic ingredients, inviting those made in His image to exercise their creative capacities to the fullest extent possible. We are privileged as no other creature to make and enjoy art. Thus it is my hope that we will pursue the artistic dimensions of our lives with intelligence and imagination. The world needs to see and hear from Christians committed to art for the glory of God. Too many of us fail to realize our God-given potential. We were created to create.
“A Christian, above all people, should live artistically, aesthetically, and creatively. If we have been created in the image of an Artist, then we should look for expressions of artistry, and be sensitive to beauty, responsive to what has been created for our appreciation.”
-Edith Schaeffer
My Savior has given within a gift that I have denied to some degree for whatever reason. I have used excuse after excuse to why I am not using the gift. However, today I am opening myself up to using the gift God instilled within as a catalyst not for me but for Him. I pray 2008, that my will be His will, as I seek the blessed gift He has given me. This blog is to try and start looking at the world in different ways and pursue the artistic dimensions of our lives with intelligence and imagination not on my own but with my Father above.

Brett,
It’s so great that you’re thinking about this and being more aware of the artistic side of yourself.
I’ve been developing this recently too and I am trying to connect with God through the creative side of me… which God has put in me.
It’s hard for me to connect with God in any other way, so I’m starting here.
We had fun cutting down our Christmas tree with you guys today!
